The FORT BEND COUNTY MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 218 will hold a public hearing on a proposed tax rate for the tax year 2026 on Monday, September 14, 2026 at 12:00 PM at 6420 Reading Road, Rosenberg, Texas 77471. Your individual taxes may increase at a greater or lesser rate, or even decrease, depending on the tax rate that is adopted and on the change in the taxable value of your property in relation to the change in taxable value of all other property. The change in the taxable value of your property in relation to the change in the taxable value of all other property determines the distribution of the tax burden among all property owners.
Visit Texas.gov/PropertyTaxes to find a link to your local property tax database on which you can easily access information regarding your property taxes, including information about proposed tax rates and scheduled public hearings of each entity that taxes your property.

Please be advised that Texas Pride Disposal is suspending all recycle collection services for the remainder of this week. Our focus for the remainder of the week will be on the collection of household waste only.
Due to last week’s freeze, service starts were delayed on Friday and Saturday. Coupled with excess holiday volume, these delays led to carryover work that has trickled through this week. As a result, Saturdays recycle will be collected with the regular garbage. If residents prefer that it be recycled, please have them place their recycle out on their next collection, Saturday, 1/7. We apologize for any inconvenience, and we appreciate the understanding.
Please send any request to service@texaspridedisposal.com, contact a representative at 281-342-8178, or visit our website at www.texaspridedisposal.com.
Take the necessary steps to protect your house during the cold weather. We recommend contacting a master plumber for expertise on the best way to protect your pipes in your home. We have posted a “Freeze Protection Check List” from a master plumber on our website as just one example of the many references that are available. Please find the recommendations that best relate to your situation and remember to be safe.
These are the items that should be done before a freeze in our area. Remember Houston area homes are NOT built for freezing weather.
